Coming back to Tamil

Shruti Haasan, last seen as the leading lady in Suriya’s Singam 3, directed by Hari, is returning to Tamil after a gap with the Vijay Sethupathi film Laabam.  The actress will be seen as a musician/performer in the filmdirected by SP Jananathan, saidto be about the lives of farmers in the British era.

Imman, the music composer for the film, has announced on his social media handle that Shruti has been roped into the film as a singer too. She will be crooning a romantic track. Yugabharathi has penned the lyrics for the song.

The movie also features Jagapathi Babu, Sai Dhanshika andKalaiyarasan in vital roles.

Vijay Sethupathi bankrolls the film in association with 7 Cs Entertainment.
