Ashwini bags a meaty role

Pandian says that he was inspired with newspaper reports on the incidents for his plot.

Ashwini, who gave an impressive feat in films like Merlin, Maragatha Kaadu and Jiivi has been roped in as the lead girl in a film titled Call Taxi, which based on true incidents that took place in the suburbs of Chennai when a series of call taxi drivers were murdered.

A suspense thriller, it has Santhosh Saravanan as the hero and directed by Pa. Pandian. Talking about her role Ashwini says, “It is an intriguing character and I thank the director trusting me and giving me this opportunity.”

Pandian says that he was inspired with newspaper reports on the incidents for his plot. “I did quite a bit research on it and added fictionalized account of events. It’s a fast paced thriller, where the mystery behind the murders is exposed.”

‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran, Madhan Bob, Director E Ramadoss, Ganeshkar, ‘Pasanga’ Sivakumar, Muthuraman, Belly Murali, Chandramouli, ‘Porali’ Dileepan, Cheran Raj, and Anjali Devi are in the supporting roles. Rajadurai cranks the camera for CT, which is produced by KD Combines.
