Objectionable scene removed from TAO

A controversial scene and a word from Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru have been removed from the film owing to objection from certain segments.

A statement from the team reads, “Theeran is a film only about the various dacoits that occurred in the states of India. It does not depict any single clan in a bad light. No community thrives based on murder and robbery and we have portrayed any such thing.  Still, since a section of the people have taken offense, we, on behalf of the Theeran team, apologise and regret for the same. The word ‘Kuttrapparambarai’ and the scene involving the ‘book’ will be removed from the future broadcasts on TV or online platforms.”
