Tamil audiences always lap up well made movies on children like Kakka Muttai, Pasanga series and Goli Soda. Now, director Rajvel Krishnaa is filming another movie on kids titled Pizhai. Veterans Charle whom we saw recently in an alluring role in Vellai Pookkal, Mime Gopi and George play the parents with Kakka Muttai Ramesh, Appa Nasath and new boy Gokul playing their wards.

Speaking to DC, Rajvel says, “Pizhai is about three boys whose parents are coolies and daily labourers at a granite stone quarry. Though the poor parents want to educate them, the boys are in no mood to attend school and they indulge in petty thieving. After a certain stage, they run away from the village with the misconception of making it big in the city. How they end up working as bonded labours at a hotel and land in a quandary forms the rest. The movie imparts a larger message about the importance of education.”

The film is extensively shot in virgin locations of Chennai, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Kandigai, Sholingar, Tiruttani and Chitoor.
