Anaswara Kumar, made her entry in the Tamil industry with Ego, and shot to fame with her role in Deekay’s Yaamirukka Bayamey. Post 2014, she went into hibernation for almost two years and is now making a comeback of sorts in Kollywood with a thriller film titled Pattinapakkam, directed by Jayadev.

Speaking about her role, Anaswara says, “I play the role of Mithra, a college student who hails from a middle-class background. She is loving, caring and is extremely protective of Vetri (played by Kalaiyarasan). She drives Vetri to be more responsible in life.”

Right from the character sketch to the costumes, the entire team of Pattinapakkam have worked hard to make it seem realistic and natural.

“Jayadev’s vision was to make the scenes authentic and natural. My costumes were also picked in a way that it suits the area where the film was shot,” she quips.

When asked why she hadn’t signed any movies after 2014, the Vallinam actress asserts, “I was choosing scripts carefully. I believe in giving out quality films. Even though I received several projects from big banners, I refrained from signing any movie as I didn’t like the stories. Fortunately, those films didn’t do well! In today’s scenario, the story is important — so I tend to choose them carefully.”
