Dhanush’s red card that was issued by Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) based on the instance of unprofessional behavior has now been revoked as per the official announcement. He was accused of taking advances from various producers and not completing any of their films. However, it has been a closed chapter for the people for quite some time now.
Furthermore, it has been reported recently that the TFPC has put off the red card that Dhanush is said to be holding. As part of the resolution, Dhanush has agreed to go meet Thenandal Films for a future project as part of the resolution. It was also mentioned that he will be giving back a lump sum amount to 5 Star Creations, which also buys out the dispute.
As a background, a red card in Tamil cinema is a ‘punishment’ which is intended to prevent actors from accepting any work from any producer until the specific grievances are settled. Such as in Dhanush’s case, he had finished a film that was produced by Thenandal Studio Limited with which he had also signed a contract and absorbed the advance payments from the said other producers.
As stated in the report of News 18, it was earlier noted that TFPC has had to release a statement whereby caution was issued to producers seeking to direct Dhanush in their movies under circumstances that other issues were being handled by the council. However, since the issue has been settled, the actor’s stakeholders can now wait for his new projects.
Moving on to his professional updates, Dhanush was recently in the news for the blockbuster success of his directorial debut, Raayan, which is the second directorial feature for after the successful Pa Paandi. Dhanush’s fans are looking out for what he will do next in terms of Tamil films.
