Jayam Ravi and Aarti part ways...
...after 15 years of marriage

On Monday, September 9, popular Tamil actor Jayam Ravi posted a statement on his social media account X announcing his separation from wife Aarti. After “careful consideration,” the actor made the decision to dissolve their marriage. In his post, Jayam Ravi wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share a deeply personal update with all of you. After much thought, reflections, and discussion, I have taken the difficult decision to proceed with the dissolution of my marriage with Aarti. This decision was not made out of haste, and it stems from personal reasons that I believe are in the best interests of everyone involved.”
The actor requested privacy for his family and appealed to the public to “refrain from making any assumptions, rumours, or allegations” regarding the situation. He emphasised that his priority remains “to continue bringing joy and entertainment through my films to my dearest audience.”
Speculation about the couple’s relationship had been circulating since June of this year. Aarti is the daughter of noted television producer Sujatha Vijayakumar. The couple had been married for 15 years before this announcement.
