Vinayan's next inspired by Mani
Vinayan had previously announced that he would make a movie based on the life of Kalabhavan Mani.
Who could forget the movie Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum, the heart-wrenching tale of a visually-challenged man and his family! Directed by Vinayan, the movie catapulted the career of late actor Kalabhavan Mani from that of a comedian to a serious actor.
Vinayan had previously announced that he would make a movie based on the life of Kalabhavan Mani.
“The movie is titled Chalakudykkaran Changathi and the casting process is underway. The scripting is also going on. The movie is planned to go on floors by mid-October. A fresh face will be cast in the lead role,” reveals Vinayan.
Speaking about what the movie will be about, he says, “The movie is not about Kalabhavan Mani, but is based on his life. The life of a talented boy from a lower cast who makes it big in the film industry and how he slowly loses grip of it. It will shed light on how our society still marginalises dark-skinned people.”
