I have no land, money deals with Dileep: Victim
No deals with Dileep.
Thrissur: Even as the Special Investigation Team is collecting the details of the land dealings of actor Dileep, the assaulted actress broke her silence on Thursday and said that she had “no land and money deals” with him. Dileep’s brother Anoop claimed earlier in the day that the actor was “trapped as part of a conspiracy to destroy him.” The actress said in a statement: “...I’ve done several movies with this actor (Dileep). However, our friendship soured due to personal issues between us…I came across various reports claiming that I’ve land dealings with the actor. I’ve no land or money dealings with him. Earlier, I tried to ignore such reports thinking the false gossips will die down. However, I thought it necessary to give a clarification since the baseless charges are doing the rounds.”
She said she was ready to submit all the documents to the investigation officers in this regard. “I sincerely wish that no innocent person will be punished and no culprit will escape the law of land,” she said and added that she has no Facebook or Twitter accounts and that those on the social media are fake. She expressed “shock” over the development and said she had not mentioned the name of anyone to the investigation officers.
Meanwhile, the Special Investigation Team took Dileep to Thrissur and collected evidence from three locations, including two prominent hotels and a tennis club. The team returned to the Aluva police club by 3 p.m. He was later interrogated till late in the evening to unearth more details before his custody ends by Friday morning. The SIT is likely to quiz actor Kavya Madhavan and her mother Shyamala.
It is suspected that Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the case, had handed over the memory card containing the recordings of the attack on the actress to an online apparel store owned by them at Kakkanad. Earlier in the day, actor Aju Varghese was interrogated by the cops in a complaint over revealing the identity of the actress through Facebook. The cops seized his mobile phone and memory card for forensic examination after he admitted to the charge.
