Sarayu's sachet is full of stories
The latest to join the brigade is actor Sarayu not that direction is something new for her.
These days, film actors are not restricting themselves to just their roles; they are foraying into other aspects of film making like production, direction and singing. The latest to join the brigade is actor Sarayu – not that direction is something new for her. She has already directed the short film Pacha and has now come up with a YouTube channel web series Sarayu’s Sachet of Stories.
Talking about how the idea evolved, she says, “I needed to direct something but not a short film again. I wanted something different and thought of my own YouTube channel. Coincidentally, my wedding anniversary was approaching and so, I clubbed a story along with my anniversary surprise for my husband in the first episode.” But the surprise did not happen because she laughingly says her husband was there all along with her. Then she came up with a brilliant idea. “I included him too in the video!” The episode was made on almost a zero budget with the technical side managed by her friends. Pacha, she informs, was made on a bigger canvas.
She now plans to shoot an episode every week. Sharing her future plans, Sarayu adds, “I do not want to feature just stories. There will be interviews as well. I have already released a short book of stories and might even bring to screen one of those.”
