Kamaal Rashid Khan calls Mohanlal 'Chota Bheem', gets roasted by his fans
Kamaal quips at Mohanlal comparing him to Chhota Bheem that went on to the extent of asking why he wants to waste the money of Mr Shetty.
Indian cinema has been awestruck ever since news broke on business magnate B.R. Shetty’s interest to invest a whopping Rs 1000 crore for what is touted to be the biggest project in its history, The Mahabharata, an adaptation of M.T. Vasudevan Nair’s novel Randamoozham. For all the wrong reasons, the project has been dragged into Twittersphere after actor, critic Kamaal R. Khan aka KRK made a ridiculing comment on actor Mohanlal. Kamaal quips at Mohanlal comparing him to Chhota Bheem that went on to the extent of asking why he wants to waste the money of Mr Shetty. The actor is to play the protagonist, Bhima in the film directed by ad-man V.A. Shrikumar Menon.
Mohanlal fans’ wrath knew no bounds since the scathing tweet appeared last Tuesday. As ‘Reply’ tweets, they have been hurling verbal stones at this remark and some even mock at KRK for comparing him to funny characters. Realising the magnitude of Tweeple’s reaction, KRK himself posted another tweet wondering he ‘can’t understand why Malayali people are abusing him since morning?’ Anyway Mohanlal had not responded to the matter on social media.
Planned as a multi-lingual project, the movie is to be made with a pan-continental flavour. MT himself is the screenwriter. The two-part series is planned to start rolling by September 2018 and hit the screens by early 2020.
