The making has started well in advance though only in April the music was made public on YouTube.

If techie Jibin George Sebastian had not listened to his calling, a musical  opportunity like this would have evaded him forever. This Kochi-based person is composer to a song in the English movie Unbridled. It is not just another English song — around 10 studios from the world over had chipped in towards its realisation.

Jibin explains. “Producers of this movie (The McGlothins) have been clients to my software company 20 Degree Productions in Kochi. When I came to know about them making a film in English, I asked if I could compose. I sent sample music first, they liked it and the song occurred.”  The piece of music born at the Muzic Haven Studios got added inputs from international musicians, with the composer taking the initiative to rope in so many talents.

Hugo Iglesias from Spain has strummed the guitar. Saxophone music came all the way from Slick at Level Seven Recording Studio in Kentucky and Cameron Black from Canada. Glenn Welman, drummer from Johannesburg in South Africa has handled the drum beats. The lines of David hardy from the US are sung by Addie Nicole, lead singer of the band Halocene in Arizona.

The making has started well in advance though only in April the music was made public on YouTube. “The movie got released in North Carolina and one more place. I was informed they are planning release in a few more countries. Reports from the release centres are good,” says Jibin.

Unbridle’s storyline has a human-animal bonding form the crux. It is directed by John David Ware and the cast included  Eric Roberts, T.C. Stallings, Tea Mckay, Jenn Gotzon, Dey Young, Rachel Hendrix and David Topp.

This is not the first time Jibin tried his hand at experimentation. His album, Best of Indian Youth, released on the occasion of the 64th Republic Day of India has 13 songs in different Indian languages. One song had the verses of former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in it.

Jibin is determined to stay with music. “There is a movie from a London-based producer coming. It is a Malayalam film I am composing,” he says.
