Mollywood’s angry young man Shane Nigam’s next will be a feel-good movie with Salam Bappu. Shane, whose stardom has reached unparalleled heights this year after the release of Kumbalangi Nights and Ishq, is excited to be part of this new film made by his father the late Kalabhavan Abi’s friends.

At a recent event announcing the film, Shane had expressed his joy over being part of the project bankrolled by Texas-based production house Anjali Entertainments helmed by G.K. Pillai, Dr. Ranjith Pillai and Mohammad Shah. “The producers are my father’s friends and I am glad to be professionally associating with them. They had been of immense help to my ailing dad when he was in the U.S. for a show,” Shane recalled.

That the yet-to-be-titled film is directed by Salam Bappu is another interesting factor. Salam, whose was a dream debut when his first movie Red Wine had a multi-star cast, is collaborating with a young star in the lead role for the first time. Red Wine starring Fahadh Faasil and Asif Ali had super star Mohanlal in the lead while his second, Manglish, saw mega star Mammootty playing the central character. His third, with Shane, is scripted by Abhilash Pillai, who has penned the script for Amala Paul-starrer forensic investigation thriller Cadaver. The film will be shot in Dubai and Kerala.

Shane, meanwhile, has an amazing line-up of movies coming up that includes Shaji N. Karun’s Olu, Dimal Dennies’ Valiya Perunnal and Jeevan Jojo’s Ullasam.
