It has been more than a year since Basil Joseph-directed Kunjiramayanam hit the screens. That was the first movie in which Dhyan Sreenivasan, Deepak Parambol and Aju Varghese teamed up with their mentor Vineeth Sreenivasan for a movie. Now Deepak is sharing screen space with his off-screen friends Dhyan and Aju for Sajith Jagathnandan’s Ore Mukham.

Deepak was aware of the project even before he became part of it. “It was after the release of Thira, in which we acted together for the first time that Dhyan told me about Ore Mukham, which had come to him. He hinted that we would be acting together in it. But it was after the production of Kunjiramayanam that director Sajith called us for the project, which is all set for release now,” says the actor.

Ore Mukham is completely set in a college campus. “It is an out-and-out campus thriller. Yet, there are also the natural feel-good comedy sequences of a campus. I act as Prakashan in the movie,” says Deepak from the sets of Biju Menon-starrer Rakshadhikari Baiju. On his relation with Dhyan and Aju, he says, “They have been my good friends since I started my film career. When Aju and I started off with Vineeth ettan’s Malarvadi Arts Club, Dhyan’s maiden venture was Thira in which I essayed a negative role. From those days, all three of us have been good friends. In fact, that friendship has helped us a lot while acting in Ore Mukham. Even in Rakshadhikari Baiju, Aju and I are acting as friends.”

Quizzed about his role in Ranjan Pramod’s Rakshadhikari Baiju, he says, “I act as village lad, one that can be related to many people around us. He is a person who intensively loves sports as well as a girl.” On his upcoming films, Deepak says, “As of now I am acting in this movie. I have also got an opportunity to share screen space with Mammookka (Mammootty) in his film The Great Father. However, I cannot reveal much about it.”
