The chemistry between Nithiin and Samantha in'A.. Aa..' is palpable.

Cast: Nithiin, Samantha, Nadiya, Naresh, Rao Ramesh, Anupama Parameshwaran and Srinivas Reddy
Director: Trivikram Srinivas

Director Trivikram Srinivas's latest, 'A.. Aa..', stars Nithiin and Samantha in the lead roles. The film managed to generate massive buzz months before its release as Trivikram's films have always entertained with the audience with trademark dialogues. There's a reason why a Trivikram film comes with the words... 'highly anticipated'.

Anasuya (Samantha) is the only daughter of rich couple Ramalingam (Naresh) and Mahalakshmi (Nadiya).  She is always compromising as most of her life decisions are taken by her mother, including that of her marriage.

She even tries to kill herself, but that doesn’t change her mother’s mind. But her father Ramalingam, understands and supports her, as he too doesn’t dare to go against Mahalakshmi.

When her mother goes to Chennai for some work, Ramalingam secretly sends his daughter to her aunt’s house in Kaluvapudi village near Vijayawada. Here she meets Anand (Nithiin) and falls in love.

Meanwhile, a local landlord (Rao Ramesh) is forcing Anand to get married to his daughter Naga Valli (Anupama Parameshwaran). Anasuya likes the atmosphere in the village and the affection she receives. She also comes to know that Anand is her own brother-in-law and there are some misunderstandings between the two families. The story is thus about how Anasuya and Anand unite the families.

Director Trivikram Srinivas’ films are always special, especially because of his dialogues. 'A.. Aa..' is a simple family story with a bit of emotion, romance and humour. But one can see the handiwork of Trivikram in every scene.
Though the film is loosely based on the popular novel Meena, written by Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani, Trivikram has made it his own.

Yesteryear actress Vijaya Nirmala had acted in a film titled 'Meena' based on the novel in 1973, and Trivikram, too, has adapted the same subject for his movie.

One does not feel bored during the film. And the director entertains with his dialogues.

Performance wise, everyone has done a great job. This is definitely one of Nithiin’s best performances. He didn’t go overboard and shows maturity. The chemistry between him and Samantha is also palpable. Meanwhile, Samantha, too, has come up with a stellar performance. She looks cute and beautiful throughout the film and has performed equally well.

The other highlight of the film is Rao Ramesh. Once again he proves that he is one of the top character artistes in Telugu cinema today… Definitely at par with his father, late Rao Gopala Rao. The other important characters are Naresh and Nadiya, who play Samantha’s parents. For Nadiya this is an extension to her earlier film Atharintiki Daredi, and Naresh, too, has done a good job.

The surprise element is Hari Teja, who plays Samantha’s assistant. Ananya as Nithiin’s sister is perfect while comedian Praveen has a meaty role and provides a few laughs along with Srinivas Reddy and Ajay.

The film is technically good as cinematographer Nataraj Subramanian has captured the village scenes very well. Music by Mickey J. Mayer is soothing and the background score is good. Art director A.S. Prakash too should be mentioned for his work.

The film's predictable storyline and the sluggish second half are among the few drawbacks.

However, 'A.. Aa..' is a clean family entertainer and one can say that Trivikram is back with a bang.
