Mrunal Thakur Bags Rs 2.5 Crore for Pan-India Film Dacoit
Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur has reportedly signed on for the Telugu film Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh, and is set to earn a hefty paycheck of Rs 2.5 crore for her role. Sources reveal that the film, designed as a pan-India project, will showcase Mrunal in an intense, anger-driven character. The actress is excited about her return to Tollywood after a brief hiatus.
Mrunal has been striking a fine balance between Bollywood and Tollywood. After delivering blockbuster performances in Sita Ramam with Dulquer Salmaan and Hi Nanna alongside Nani, she has carved a niche for herself in Telugu cinema with performance-oriented roles.
In Bollywood, she continues her upward trajectory, currently working on a major project with ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, following her roles in films like Jersey and Super 30.
However, a source notes that for Mrunal to cement her position at the top in Tollywood, she might need to explore more glamorous roles, similar to how stars like Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, Tamannaah, and Shruti Haasan rose to prominence.
Beyond films, Mrunal is also capitalizing on her growing popularity with brand endorsements, earning between Rs 10-15 lakh per event. With her rising demand among Telugu audiences, retail brands are eager to leverage her fan base.
Dacoit is expected to be a pivotal project in her career, further expanding her reach across Indian cinema.
