The most recent visitor to fellow group member Suga's chat show Suchwita was BTS vocalist Jungkook. In episode 15, Jungkook and Suga reminisced about their time spent in training. Additionally, they discussed Jungkook's solo single Seven, his next projects, and Suga's most recent show.

Jungkook and Suga go candid

On the chat show Suchwita,  Jungkook said, "Without the song Seven, I might have still been on a break right now. I loved being on a break for real." Suga interrupted, "I have a hard time when I am on a break." Jungkook continued, "I was totally enjoying my time off. This song got me started again." Suga joked that he would have carried out the action personally if he had heard the song.

Jungkook shares his latest plans

“I have another single. Then I’ll be releasing a small mini album by November,” said the BTS vocalist on the show. When Suga questioned whether all of his songs for the album were finished, Jungkook said he would continue to work on them after the release of Seven. In addition, Jungkook stated that he wanted his next single to be as groovy as Seven. To which Suga replied, “ I could just write one for you. On my  laptop, there’s every kind of song. What about doing Jersey (club)?” Send it to me, Jungkook jokingly said.

Early days of Jungkook in BTS

The BTS rapper reminisced about Jungkook's early days in the group when he had no prior singing experience. Jungkook's dedication to practicing constantly made it challenging for Suga. He had jokingly asked Jungkook if he could refrain from singing in the green room, to which Jungkook replied, "I got scolded a lot." Jungkook also recalled how the rap line, consisting of RM, Suga, and J-Hope, playfully assigned a list of songs for vocalists Jin, Jimin, V, and himself to listen to while they would have fun together.

Insights from Suga’s latest world tour

Suga recently concluded his world tour and discussed his solo concert experience. He revealed that he did 28 shows but unfortunately caught a severe cold during the tour. Suga recalled the challenging moment, saying, "I caught a really bad cold halfway through. It was so bad I thought I might collapse on stage. When I got back to Korea, I did nothing but sleep...I was with my parents and they told me to stay in my room." Suga further recalled that despite not having Covid-19, he had to push through and perform with a high fever during those trying times.

2022 FIFA World Cup Performance without choreo

The BTS singer revealed that he travelled to Qatar five to six days before the show, assuming that he would only need to rehearse. However, he soon realised that certain aspects needed improvement. “But I realised we had to improve some parts. I didn't get any choreo either. There were dancers but I didn't have any choreo. I thought it would be weird if I didn't dance while everyone else was. I asked for the choreo video. I said I would just copy it. During the last chorus, the choreo changes, it becomes intense. I asked them to change that part so they did and I redid the formations. That's how it went. Originally there was nothing.”

Jungkook performed ‘Dreamers’ at the 2022 FIFA World Cup’s opening ceremony in Qatar.

What’s next?

Jungkook spoke about BTS' earlier concerts, and expressed his excitement by saying, "If everyone is discharged from their military service I could go crazy." Suga shared a touching moment when Jin, during his military service, called him and expressed his strong desire to perform again. "He talks about that in our group chat too,” revealed Jungkook.

During the show, Suga mentioned that BTS has already spent a considerable time in the industry and envisions their longevity, jokingly saying they will still be active even when they reach 60 years old.

Both Jungkook and Suga contemplated and made plans for what BTS could do when they reach old age. Suga emphasised the deep connection between BTS and their fans, describing them more like partners now rather than just followers.
