‘What to Watch’ for the week ending March 14
Rana Daggubati’s Rana Naidu to be released this Friday
It’s almost ides of March and let’s see whether we need to beware of it or be aware of what’s in store for this week. It looks like a mixed bag again with a few streamers banking on thrillers while others coming up with more fresh content.
Netflix
This week begins with a romantic comedy for Netflix as it streams ‘Faraway’ from March 8. It’s a movie based on a book and directed by Vanessa Jopp. It deals with the story of a woman who inherits a house on a Croatian island. On Wednesday itself, a documentary on one of the most recent and intriguing mysteries in aviation history, the disappearance of MH370 will be released. It’s called ‘MH370: The Plane That Disappeared’.
Venkatesh Daggubati and Rana Daggubati starring series ‘Rana Naidu’ will be streamed from Friday. It also stars Suchitra Pillai and Surveen Chawla. The gritty and suspenseful show is about Rana Naidu, a go-to problem solver for the rich and famous, says the platform.
Part 2 of the thriller ‘You’ will be dropped on March 9, Thursday.
You can watch Idris Elba’s ‘Luther: The Fallen Sun’ from March 10, Friday. The movie is about disgraced London police detective John Luther. Malayalam movie ‘Rekha’ starring Vincy Aloshious also released on the same day.

Another release on the platform is a Tamil comedy ‘Accidental Farmer’. Alvin Henry’s ‘Christy’ starring Mathew Thomas and Malvika Mohanan which seems to be a romantic story also hits the online screens this Friday.

Two days after Women’s Day, Zee5 comes up with ‘Boudi Canteen’, a heartwarming and inspiring tale of a woman who wants to pursue her dreams in food business. The Bengali movie stars Subhasree Ganguly and Parambrata Chattopadhyay.

Mammootty-starrer ‘Christopher’ which will be released on Prime Video on March 9, Thursday. According to the streamer’s tweet, “When the system fails you, you gotta step up to take charge.” Ratna Patakh Shah and Raj Babbar starring ‘Happy Family Conditions’ which promises to be a light family story will be out on March 10, Friday.
