Bigg Boss OTT 2 Star Contestant's Shocking Elimination

In a recent episode of Bigg Boss OTT 2, Jiya Shankar, the TV actress, faced elimination from the house on Wednesday. The departure was prompted by receiving the least number of votes just days before the impending finale. Jiya Shankar's elimination came as a shock to the audience. Given her popularity outside the house,everyone thought Jiya Shankar would be one of the finalists.

Alongside Manisha Rani and Elvish Yadav, Jiya was nominated for a mid-week eviction. Abhishek Malhan, a close ally of Jiya, became emotional upon the announcement of her elimination. A video shared on Twitter captured the heartfelt moment when the two shared a warm hug before Jiya left the house.

The eviction process unfolded during a task assigned by Bigg Boss, where participants were tasked with exploring a memory calendar. As the contestants gathered in the garden area, a large calendar of memories was presented. Flipping through its pages, photographs from the season's beginning to the finale week were displayed. The climax arrived when the last page of the calendar revealed the evicted contestant's photograph. Abhishek Malhan volunteered to turn the last page, and Jiya Shankar's photo appeared on the calendar, sealing her eviction.

Before Jiya Shankar's elimination, Avinash Sachdev and Jad Hadid were also ousted from the Bigg Boss house in the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Pooja Bhatt, Abhishek Malhan, and Bebika Dhurve had already secured their positions in the finale. With the inclusion of Elvish Yadav and Manisha Rani, the top 5 contestants of Bigg Boss OTT 2 have been finalized.

The grand finale of Bigg Boss OTT 2 is scheduled for August 14 and will be live-streamed on Jio Cinema. Jiya Shankar is recognized for her roles in daily soap operas such as Meri Hanikarak Biwi and Pishachini.
