Every man should witness childbirth: Yash Sinha
Yash Sinha talks about turning a father and naming his son Kabir after his character in Code Red.
Telly couple Yash and Amrapali Sinha became proud parents to a healthy baby boy this Holi. The couple has named their newborn Kabir. Incidentally, Yash’s character was named Kabir in the popular crime series, Code Red, some time back.
It was right then that he had pretty much made up his mind to name his child after the popular character. Talking about fatherhood, Yash says, “I am happy and nervous at the same time. It’s a big moment for me. I guess the fact that I am now a father has started sinking in. Suddenly I have started having a sense of responsibility towards the child. Since this is our first child, I really don’t know how to go about the drill. Newborn babies are delicate — I am really scared to hold him. I console myself by sitting beside him and touching him. Even my father started holding me much later, so I guess I am going to do the same thing.”
Becoming a father has changed Yash’s perception about women completely. After witnessing Amrapali brave the pain, the actor now feels women should not only be respected but also worshiped.
“I look at women in a new light now. They are really special beings. Every man should witness the process of childbirth to understand what a woman goes through to bring the baby in the world. Believe me, after witnessing all that men will start worshipping their women,” says Yash. He added that the couple would be on a break now since they want to focus on parenthood.
