Janhvi Kapoor Turns Village Belle for NTR\'s Devara

After Samantha in 'Rangsthalam', Rashmika in ‘Pushpa’, Bollywood actress Jhanvi Kapoor dons village belle role in her debut Telugu film ‘Devara’ opposite superstar Jr NTR.

The glamour girl posted her picture on social media and said that her character’s name is Thangam in the film. “Her rustic look in a half saree with a radiant smile has generated a lot of interest,” says a source who claims that the daughter of Sridevi is known for glamourous and ultra modern looks in Bollywood films and social media. “She went in for a makeover and also has a huge following on social media and her new look has evoked enough response,” he adds.

He further said that female actors in simple attire attract more attention and also their complete makeover would be watched with keen interest. "She is playing love interest of NTR in this rural action saga and her character should also match him so she is donning a girl-next-door avatar,” he adds.

"She is actually a Bollywood actress and has done some Hindi films and is quite popular among Hindi-speaking viewers. She is doing a film opposite a superstar like NTR and the film is bound to get pan-India popularity, considering her brand equity," he points out.

Janhvi Kapoor was seen in Hindi movies like ‘Milli’ and ‘Good Luck Jerry’, but really couldn’t make it to the top in Bollywood. "Like her mother Sridevi, she could make it big in Telugu and south, before moving back to Hindi films as a south star," he concludes.
