Bold content expressed poetically
Filmmaker M.S. Raju talks about his forthcoming film, Dirty Hari.
Dirty Hari marks the return of filmmaker M.S. Raju to the directorial chair after eight years. (His last film was the 2012 release Tuneega Tuneega). Going by the film’s first look poster, one can easily predict that the romantic thriller will have bold content.
“But it will be shown in a poetic way,” Raju clarifies, adding, “Filmmakers like Bharathan, Puttanna Kanagal, etc., have made several classical bold films in an aesthetic way. I was inspired by them and wanted to try something different.”
“Ï have done films in all genres, and I feel Dirty Hari is a new-age film that fills a gap in my repertoire,” he says, adding that the film has an underlying message.
“A new set of audience has emerged and I want to make films for viewers in the age group of 15-35”, he explains.
Giving a glimpse of what Dirty Hari is about, Raju shares, “There’s a little bit of dirtiness in everyone’s life; my film is an attempt to explore that dirtiness in a few youngsters. And I believe that the audience will connect to the story.”
Starring Shravan Reddy, Ruhani Sharma and Simrat Kaur, Dirty Hari is currently in post production, and is gearing for release soon.
