DoP walks out of film midway!
The sudden development seems to have been triggered by compatibility issues between the director, Santosh Srinivas and Dudley.
When the makers of the Bellamkonda Sreenivas-starrer film signed on renowned cameraman Dudley who worked for films like Dilwale, Bol Bachchan, Golmaal 3, etc., they were on cloud nine.
In an unexpected development, cinematographer Dudley, who worked for films like Chennai Express, Dilwale, etc., has walked out of his Telugu debut film.
However, their excitement was short-lived, as the celebrated DoP (Director of Photography) walked out of the project a few days back, leaving them high and dry.
The sudden development seems to have been triggered by compatibility issues between the director, Santosh Srinivas and Dudley.
After shooting for some portions, Dudley has been facing issues with the filmmakers. And contrasting perceptions on creative issues eventually lead to his exit from the project.
“Dudley realised that filmmakers and he were not on the same page. He felt that he would be in a tricky situation if he continues to work and the situation being such, he left the project a few days back,” a source close to the development says.
The film’s producer, G. Subrahmanyam, however, quickly went into damage control mode. He reportedly approached another renowned cameraman, Chota K. Naidu, to replace Dudley. Naidu started work on the project, but has reportedly expressed some concerns.
“Chota K. Naidu had already committed for a couple of projects, so he had to adjust his dates accordingly. He said that he would initially join the team for a week to check out his compatibility with the unit members. And if all goes well, he would adjust the dates of his other projects to avoid a clash and come on board for this Bellamkonda-starrer,” adds the source.
Will he? Won’t he? Only time will tell!
