Starring Kiran Abbavaram and Neha Shetty in the lead roles, the much-anticipated entertainer Rules Ranjann is set to grace screens worldwide on September 28. The film, directed and written by Rathinam Krishna, the son of renowned producer and screenwriter A.M. Rathnam, is jointly produced by Divyang Lavania and Murali Krishnaa Vemuri under Star Light Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The musical score is crafted by Amrish. The movie also features a stellar ensemble cast, including Abhimanyu Singh, Makarand Deshpande, Ajay, Meher Chahal, Vennela Kishore, Subbaraju, and Hyper Aadi, among others, in pivotal roles.
During a recent press meet, producer A.M. Rathnam, who is presenting the film, expressed his confidence that Rules Ranjann would provide a delightful cinematic experience for Telugu audiences.
Kiran Abbavaram, speaking at the event, shared his excitement about the project and his respect for Rathnam garu, which prompted him to accept the role. He highlighted the film's entertainment quotient and described his character, Mano Ranjan alias Rules Ranjann, as relatable and endearing. He also reminisced about his admiration for Pawan Kalyan's Kushi during his childhood and expressed his honor at working in the industry.
When asked about his shift from portraying massy hero roles to a soft-natured boy-next-door character in Rules Ranjann, Kiran explained his desire to explore diverse roles. He emphasized that the film is a pure entertainer with a love track, promising a joyful viewing experience for audiences.
Actress Neha Shetty also expressed her gratitude and enthusiasm for the film, describing her character, Sana. She shared her excitement about the song Sammohanuda, which garnered over 23 million views in just three days, surprising her as viewers discovered her dancing skills. Neha thanked music composer Amrish and singer Shreya Ghoshal for their contributions to the film's music. She expressed her joy at working with co-star Kiran Abbavaram.
Director Rathinam Krishna reflected on his previous film Oxygen, which had a different tone and was well-received, albeit on OTT platforms.
