Gaalodu has done well and the numbers were higher than expected. Did that film change your market?
Gaalodu did help me well. Besides increasing the market, it helped me improve and prove my acting mettle. So many people have come to the theatres just to watch my performance and they share many appreciation messages.
Did Calling Sahasra also help you get the same appreciation?
With Calling Sahasra, I wanted to see if audiences would come to the theatres to watch me perform and that happened. I was glad to see people coming and appreciating me. Calling Sahasra is a genre that I have never done before. It is an experiment for me to know and learn if audiences would like to watch such characters and how far even I can pull off such roles. It is a film based on the dark web and and it is all about suspense.
How far did Jabardasth help your career? Do you think that tag called 'Jabardasth' will let you grow as a mainstream actor?
I am okay with having Jabardasth before my name. Because that is where I come from and I'm known for. I had the pressure of bringing the audiences to the theatres. Jabardasth is something that will never leave me. It will stay with me and I am ok with it.
