A pre-release event for Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No. 150 took place on Saturday night, and while it was a grand affair, the drama that ensued ensured it wasn't a night the megastar would forget.

It all started when the actor’s brother Naga Babu went on a rant against people who troll their family, indirectly calling director Ram Gopal Varma a “failed director”. “It seems everyone has their eye on the ‘Mega family’. They get some mileage by making fun of him (Chiranjeevi) or members of his family. We don’t really care about such comments,” said Naga Babu in his speech, even calling RGV an akkupakshi (someone who doesn’t stop talking).

RGV made his presence felt even though he wasn’t at the function, going on a Twitter rant that lasted over five hours. “Chiranjeevigaaru out of respect for u I will stop tweeting now .please advise him to keep quiet or I will start tweeting actual main things (sic),” he wrote.

He also tweeted to Varun Tej, Naga Babu’s son, asking him not to follow his father’s advice. On Sunday morning, RGV tweeted a quote from the Bhagavad-Gita: “People who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others”.

Pawan Kalyan’s fans, expecting his name to be mentioned, went on a rampage when no mention of the Power Star was made. The actor’s fans reportedly tried to break chairs after the event a video of which has gone viral.

Chiru thanks Vijay
Megastar Chiranjeevi thanked Tamil superstar Vijay for his help in acquiring the remake rights of the Tamil film Kaththi which has been remade as Khaidi No. 150 now.

The actor said, “I was hunting for the best story to make a comeback. While there were several good stories, I was looking for something phenomenal and that’s when A.R. Murugadoss’ Kaththi came our way. And at that time, Vijay himself came forward and told me that if I wanted to remake the film, he’d make sure we get the film rights. It was a very touching gesture and I am thankful to him for bringing this film to me.”

Chiru’s brief moment of irritation!
While the event was a complete Chiranjeevi show, there was a few moments that seemed to irk the actor. A member in the crowd constantly kept waving the flag of Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena party much to his chagrin. The actor asked the person to put down the flag quite a few times.

Well, his words weren’t heeded to and the megastar decided to ignore and went ahead with a stunning speech where he wished that all Sankranti releases — Gautamiputra Satakarni, Shatamanam Bhavati and Head Constable Venkaiah — which are coming to the fore along with his films, become a hit.
