Racing to the star-studded skies
Chal Chal Gurram, the second movie of the international racing champion Sailesh Bolisetti is all set for release.
Racing, acting and business, all are going well concurrently for Sailesh Bolisetti. After racing against time on the international circuit burning rubbers and making Vizag proud, he is now entertaining people through movies.
The energetic racer won his first motorsport racing event, the inaugural Volkswagen Polo Cup in 2010 and raced internationally in the Volkswagen Scirocco R Cup in Germany, before becoming the first Indian to participate in the British GT4 Championship in 2012.
The multi-talented Sailesh went on to make his debut as an actor through the movie Mukunda. Now, his second Telugu movie Chal Chal Gurram is gearing up for release.
Admitting to the fact that he was forced into acting, the international car racer says, “Racing comes to me naturally and I have an upper hand when compared to acting. I had never thought of acting ever, so it is all about destiny. However, I watch a lot of movies.”
“I have managed to do justice to whatever roles I have done so far. Chal Chal Gurram is a classic comedy laced with a moral lesson. It is about helping a person through unethical means. The movie also portrays how relationships are becoming mechanical in our fast-paced lives,” he says.
So, how does he rate his movie? “The best thing is that you can sit with your mother and enjoy the movie. From the beginning itself, I have been requesting my dance master to make the songs in such a way that I could watch it with my mother,” he says.
When asked if he would quit racing if his movies did well, Bolisetti says, “Racing is my passion and it is never going to die. Racing is not a recognised sports in India and is very expensive. I would channelise the money I make through movies to motorsports.”
Does he have any plan to do a movie with a racing theme? He says it would need crores of rupees. “Being a newcomer, I don’t think I should take up such a high-budget movie at this juncture.”
