The release of forthcoming bilingual film, Bhairava Geetha, has been pushed back a couple of times. Apparently, the film has been facing censor problems ever since it was submitted to the board. The film’s censor in Telugu has been facing a problem because the filmmakers could not produce a No Objection Certificate from the Animal Welfare Board. It is mandatory that any film which shows animals directly or indirectly has to procure an NOC from Animal Welfare Board of India certifying that no harm was done to the animals in the film. Since the filmmakers couldn’t produce the NOC within the time of screening, the film couldn’t be censored and thus, it has led to a delay in release. “We have now procured the NOC from Animal Welfare Board of India from Delhi and the film will be censored on Monday. So we are now releasing it on December 14 as scheduled,” explains the film’s producer Abhishek Nama. The romantic thriller, starring Dhananjaya, Irra Morr, is directed by Siddhartha.
