Talented Tamil music director Harris Jayaraj disappointed the audience with a bland musical score in his latest Telugu release, 'Extra Ordinary Man,' starring Nithin and Sreeleela. Even though the film boasts four songs, including 'Danger Pilla' and 'Brush Chesko,' they are not up to the mark. 'Harris Jayaraj is known for mellifluous numbers in Telugu films like 'Orange' and 'Vasu,' and they are still lingering in the minds of music lovers," says a source and adds, "Harris couldn't put his heart and soul in his latest film 'Extra' since it doesn't have a heart-wrenching story for a composer to belt out catchy tunes. He should avoid such movies, or it would dent his image."

Actually, Harris Jayaraj has become quite popular among Telugu listeners with racy numbers like 'Cheliya Cheliya' from 'Gharshana,' and later he rocked in the straight Telugu film 'Orange' starring Ram Charan and Genelia. "His soul-stirring numbers like 'Nenu Nuvantu' and 'Hello Ramante' busted musical charts for many years. His work in other Telugu films, ' Vasu' also received appreciation for catchy numbers like 'Pataku Pranam' and 'Sporty Boyz' to gain the love of Telugu music lovers," he adds.

With other significant Tamil composers like A R Rahman and Anirudh arriving in Tollywood, Harris Jayaraj must pull up his socks and deliver a sensational album, or it will lose popularity. "His music in 'Spyder' wasn't also exciting enough, and it's time for him to return with a bang and showcase his musical talent," he concludes.
