Anasuya Bharadwaj in Ravi Teja’s film
The actress plays a traditional Brahmin girl in Khiladi
Trust Anasuya Bharadwaj to pick up roles that are strong and substantial. In Ravi Teja’s upcoming film, Khiladi, directed by Ramesh Varma, Anasuya will be seen in a prominent role.
The Kshanam star will play a middle-class Brahmin girl, Chandrakala, in the action thriller.
Apparently, the actress was the unanimous choice for the part. “One of the reasons we picked Anasuya was because her looks, expressions and body language that perfectly complement the character we have designed. We believe she will bring in a surprise element to the audience,” explains director Ramesh Varma.
Interestingly, Anasuya’s role is modelled on Nayanthara’s character, also named Chandrakala, in 2010 film, Adhurs.
“Just as Nayanthara wooed the audience, Anasuya’s role will drive the film’s narrative. Her outfits, diction and the way she expresses all make for an interesting experience,” shares the director, adding that the actress had already commenced shooting for her part.
