Direction is my priority

Anish Kuruvilla’s appearance in the National Award winning film Pelli Choopulu has opened up several acting opportunities. He will soon be seen in Mahesh Babu-starrer Bharath Ane Nenu and Adivi Sesh’s Goodachari. 

However, the actor-turned-filmmaker says that direction is still his priority. “I made my acting debut in Sekhar Kammula’s Dollar Dreams.  Later, I ventured into production and made my directorial debut with Avakayi Biryani. I did Pelli Choopulu because it was a character I was confident of pulling off.  I have been getting many offers, but I am being selective because direction has always been my priority and I am currently penning a script too.”
