Puri Jagannadh's Rogue postponed
Filmmaker not willing to take any risk.
The prolific Puri Jagannadh has decided to postpone his latest film Rogue. Says Puri, “At the moment, it doesn’t make any sense to release the film. The public has no money to buy essential commodities. Why would they go to the movies? We were supposed to release my new film Rogue on December 30. But now we’ve decided to postpone it to February, when hopefully things will improve.”
Rogue is an important film for Puri. “I am launching a new hero Ishaan. You have to see how good he is. He just takes over the screen in every frame. His action scenes have to be seen to be believed. I am confident Ishaan will take the Telugu film industry by storm. Why should I risk his career by releasing his debut film during a time when the footfalls have fallen drastically?”
“Demonetisation has hit every industry including the Indian film industry. But, I think this is just for the time being and hopefully, within a few months, everything will be back on track", says director Vamshi Paidipally.
