Dubbed film to encash Sivagami mania

Sivagami in Baahubali has surely struck a chord with the audience and it seems filmmakers are keen to cash in on the fame. Actress Ramya Krishna who played the character will soon have a release here —  that of a blockbuster Malayalam movie dubbed into Telugu as Mathangi. The horror thriller explores a mother-daughter bond. Hoping that Ramya’s present popularity will give the film a boost, the makers are planning to release it in June. Directed by Kannan Thamarakkulam, the film has Jayaram, Sampath and late Om Puri in key roles. Interestingly, the film is produced by Ramya’s sister Vinaya Krishnan.
