Tharun Bhascker, Vijay Deverakonda team up
Director Shamir wanted a realistic-looking actor, and he felt that Tharun Bhascker would fit the bill.
It was Tharun Bhascker’s film Pelli Choopulu that gave Vijay Deverakonda a much-needed break, and now, the actor is all set to return the favour by launching the director as a hero.
We hear Tharun’s debut film as an actor will be produced by the Arjun Reddy star and directed by debutant Shamir. It will also feature Abhinav Gomati and Upendra. A source reveals, “Tharun Bhascker is always game to be a part of the learning curve of filmmaking. Apparently, director Shamir wanted a realistic-looking actor, and he felt that Tharun would fit the bill. And when the idea was explained to Vijay Deverakonda, he loved the script so much that he decided to bankroll the youthful drama.”
The source further adds, “The story touches upon contemporary issues that the youth will connect with. It’s a fun-filled film with an underlying message.”
Pre-production work on the project is said to be on in full swing and the film is expected to go on floors this December.
