Usually, superstars are bestowed with true devotion by their fans, but it is now the turn of ace Kannada director Prashanth Neel to attain the star status. Already his life size cutouts have come up in major centres in Bangalore to be followed up by paal abhishekam(offering of milk) on the day of the release of his much-hyped film ‘Salaar’ on December 22. “Prashanth Neel has gained superstardom after blockbuster ‘KGF series’ and he has gained a fan following of his own among Kannadigas” says a source and adds, “Prashanth has proved that Kannada directors can match with top Bollywood and Tollywood directors in dishing out pan-India films and star-studded action films with ease. His fans want to celebrate this occasion by offering milk on his cutouts on par with big stars and raising him to the skies,” he adds.

Although Prashanth Neel started off with relatively smaller films like ‘Ugram’ but his joining hands with action hero Yash and their combination delivering two massive hits-KGF and KGF2- changed his life. He was immediately roped in to director Prabhas for ‘Salaar’. “Prashanth is a good story narrator but takes time to develop since he wants to deliver surefire winners. He has a dedicated team to work for him. He has enhanced his imagination and also captures visually-captivating scenes besides slam bang action to join the league of pan-India directors in a very short time” he points out.

Invariably, Prashanth Neel stocks began to soar and his upcoming film ‘Salaar’ with superstar Prabhas has been sold for over Rs 400 crores and craze for the action film is growing by the day. "He needs to deliver another Rs 1000 crore film to prove that he is capable of winning the appreciation of audiences across the world and give directors like S S Rajamouli and Atlee a run for their money," he concludes
