I'd like to be an entrepreneur, says Kajal Aggarwal
Kajal Aggarwal says she tackles every film with the same energy as she had for her first one.
As somebody who rose to stardom at a young age, Kajal Aggarwal is quite confident about what she wants in life.
Says Kajal, “I have always wanted to be a good performer than being a mere actor. When I do so, I give my 100 per cent. It’s been nine years since my first film released. But even today when I sign a film, I have the same enthusiasm and energy in me. I am ambitious,” she smiles.
Kajal is quite choosy when it comes to her films. “I go by the script mostly and my instinct. Any role that I am doing has to be well defined. I don’t want to simply run around trees and vanish. Initially, I feared being typecast but it took me a while to get over it,” she explains.
Kajal, who is juggling between multiple projects simultaneously, says, “It’s quite fortunate that I have been a part of many hit films in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. I have Brahmotsavam, Sardar Gabbar Singh and a film opposite Vikram.
So that says it all. There’s no time to think much, complain or introspect.”
She adds, “I always keep challenging myself and I like to push my boundaries. I have learnt to be more patient and I have become more self-critical.”
Not many know that she owns a jewellery brand, Marsala. “My sister and I started the brand together. She designs jewellery and I help her out with the rest. I am looking forward to expand its presence down South. I’ve a start-up social commerce venture too,” she says adding that later in life she would want to be a successful entrepreneur.
“I am not really someone who would plan, but I’d like to see myself as a successful entrepreneur some day. Now, I find it a bit tough to manage my personal and professional life... I only want to act now. Success and fame are short-lived. Anyone can achieve success with one film, but sustaining throughout is a big deal.”
