Mohan Babu gets 50 feet Hanuman idol
The film, produced by the actor himself, is presently being shot at Tirupati with a song on the schedule next.
Versatile actor Mohan Babu will be seen next in Gayatri, which is being directed by Madan of Pellaina Kothalo fame. The film, produced by the actor himself, is presently being shot at Tirupati with a song on the schedule next.
“The special attraction of this song is a 50-feet Hanuman idol. Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya is composing the moves for this song, which involves 100 junior artistes and 400 dancers,” says a source in the know. Popular playback singer Shankar Mahadevan has sung the upbeat number.
Apparently, Mohan Babu wanted this song to be the highlight of the film, which is why he decided to make it a costly affair.
Interestingly, Mohan Babu and the Tirupati connection goes back to the actor’s roots as his native place is located very close to the sacred city. The 67-year-old actor makes it a point to shoot at least one scene for each of his film in Tirupati. But when it comes to Gayatri, nearly 50 percent of the film has been shot there.
