At last, a hit for Prabhas
Hyderabad: The box office collections of Prabhas-starrer Salaar have set a new record. The Prashanth Neel directorial has minted more than Rs 250 crore (gross) for the first two days and is going super strong. With the festive season, the film is expected to surpass previous records and post good numbers at the Indian cinema box office.
“Salaar had already created a record for being the highest ever grosser on the opening day for this year with around Rs 170 cr grosser worldwide By the end of the weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) Salaar will comfortably go past the Rs 300 crore mark. That’s the star power of Prabhas,” informs a trade analyst, adding that targeting a Christmas release was the right choice.
Salaar, brought Prabhas back into the reckoning as his earlier three films Sahoo, Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush failed to impress.
Fans have been waiting to see a strong comeback from their favourite actor, Salaar has done that for the star. High voltage action, Prabhas’ intense screen presence, and background score worked big time in the film’s favour.
