The recent transfer of an IAS officer, who irked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has reportedly inspired a sequence in actor and filmmaker Ch. Satya Suman Babu’s (of Yerra Cheera fame) upcoming film.

It may be recalled that in November, the serving chief secretary, L.V. Subramanyam, was abruptly shifted out of the post and appointed as Director General of AP Human Resources Development.

This and other “real-life incidents where IAS officers faced the wrath of Chief Ministers and Cabinet Ministers” will be featured in the film, scheduled to go on floors in January, sources say.

The plot of the social drama revolves around an honest IAS officer, who works hard to eliminate corruption in the system. It reportedly includes references to several actual embarrassing moments and difficulties currently being faced by bureaucrats, and the L.V. Subramanyam-Jagan Reddy episode, which shocked the public, will serve to add a sense of immediacy to the movie, the sources add.  The film is as yet untitled.
