Salaar Day 7 Collections: Prabhas Movie Unstoppable at Box Office
Prabhas' latest release, "Salaar," which made an impressive start at the box office with Rs 90.7 crore on its opening day, has experienced a substantial decline in collections within a week. As of its seventh day in theaters, the film earned Rs 13.5 crore, marking an over 85% decrease from its opening day figures. The film's total domestic nett collection stands at Rs 308.9 crore.
On the seventh day, "Salaar" reported a 21% occupancy in Telugu markets, the primary region for Prabhas' fanbase. In Hyderabad, the film had 638 shows with a 24.75% occupancy rate. In the Hindi-speaking market, where it competes with Shah Rukh Khan's "Dunki," Salaar recorded a 20.52% occupancy. The film had 637 shows in the Delhi-NCR region with a 23.75% occupancy and 441 shows in the Mumbai region with an 18.25% occupancy.
While the film experienced a decline in domestic collections, it crossed the Rs 500 crore gross mark worldwide on its seventh day, becoming the seventh film of the year to achieve this milestone. "Salaar" earned Rs 175 crore globally on its first day and continued to collect Rs 325 crore through the rest of the week.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, "Salaar" features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sriya Reddy, Shruti Haasan, and Tinnu Anand in significant roles. The film marks a significant comeback for Prabhas, who had not seen a major theatrical hit since 2017's "Baahubali 2." The success of "Salaar" follows Prashanth Neel's previous directorial ventures, the Yash-starrer KGF films, which collectively earned nearly Rs 1500 crore in India. The second part of "Salaar," titled "Salaar Part 2 Shouryanga Parvam," is yet to receive a release date. Prabhas is also set to appear in "Kalki 2898 AD," alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and others.
