The Akkineni family hails from the Telugu film fraternity and in view of the current situation due to the floods which have terribly affected both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana the family has announced a donation of a whopping ₹1 crore. The family has donated ₹50 lakhs each to the separate Chief Minister Relief Funds of the two states.

In a statement that carries a lot of emotions, the family appealed for togetherness in such troubled times. Hence they called upon each and everyone to join hands with the government and help in quick relief action and rehabilitation.

“We consider this as a time when all of us need to demonstrate togetherness and grapple with this challenge head on. All these aids support what the community already does and support positive change as communities get back up,” the family said.

There is a wider call to action from the Akkineni family for the united front as the people of two Telugu states are still struggling with the consequences of remarkable turbulence including floods and heavy rainfall that occurred within the states.
