Budget woes, Nani-Sujeeth film change hands?
A source claims that leading producer DVV Danayya has reportedly dropped his next film with hotshot Nani and director Sujeeth, due to over budget issues. “Time is not conducive for a big budget film, so producer has put the project on hold,’ he says and adds, “When director Sujeeth informed that it would be costing him Rs 80 crore, the producer felt that it would be risky since there is big fall in Hindi dubbing and OTT rights and lack of audience in theatres would make it difficult to recover such money and urged the team to look for another production house.”
He claims that director Sujeeth is going to start with Pawan Kalyan on “OG” and could have made his other film with Nani later, no such hurry now. "No director will do two films at the same time. So Sujeeth may start this film with Nani after completing his work in OG,” he points out.
In fact, Nani was also keen to work with the 'Saaho' director to reach out to pan-India viewers, but now he has to look for another producer to realise his expansion plans. "Nani would be given this project to another producer after drawing big crowds for 'Saripodhaa Sanivararam' and prove that he is a star material," he concludes.
