Dr Rajasekhar to play fiery role in Sharwanand film

If sources are to be believed, seasoned star Dr Rajasekhar is going to share screen space with new-age actor Sharwanand in his upcoming film with director Abhilash Reddy who made Telugu film ‘Loser’. “It would be a very interesting role for Dr Rajasekhar which would suit his stature and charisma and he would showcase his anger once again,’ says a source. He claims Dr Rajasekhar is looking for meaty roles these days. “He wants to do roles with substance keeping up with his age and popularity but not in a hurry to do more films,” he adds.

Already, he is also doing a solo-hero film ‘Magaadu’ with director Pavan Sadineni and it would be an action adventure. “It would be a role to regain his action image and it is shaping up well. The film almost wrapped up 70% and just a few weeks of work remaining. In fact, Rajasekhar was happy to repeat the title of his 90’s blockbuster ‘Magaadu’ wherein he played a tough cop,” he adds.

Dr Rajasekhar has also refused to play negative roles since it would dent his hard-earned image in the industry and would prefer to play positive and inspiring roles. “He was an undisputed action star in 80 and 90s with blockbuster ‘Ankusam’ and ‘Agraham’ and also delivered a blockbuster as lover boy in ‘Allari Priyudu’, so he is keen on roles with substance nowadays," he concludes.
