Mr Bachchan is a mix of Raid and Raid 2 movies?

It is known that seasoned star Ravi Teja is doing a remake of Hindi film ‘Raid’ with director Harris Shankar and it has been titled as ‘Mr Bachchan’. “The story would be a good mix of Hindi film Raid and Raid 2’, says a source and adds, “Actually, ‘Raid’ features Ajay Devgn as an honest income tax officer who takes up a risky raid in a mansion owned by a powerful man in Lucknow. It was a bit claustrophobic for the Telugu remake,’ he adds.
Hence, Telugu director Harris Shankar reportedly preferred to pick some other elements from ‘Raid 2’ to make it more gripping and relatable to Telugu audiences. “It would be a perfect Telugu film revolving around an upright officer who also has love moments, songs and a bit of action too,” he points out. In fact, People Media Factory are also discussing with Hindi producers Abhishek Pathak to join hands for the Telugu remake too. “Discussions are on to bring Hindi producers on board to be a partner in the remake since it has enough potential to strike a chord with masses,” he adds.
It is the third film for Ravi Teja and director Harris Shankar which includes hits like ‘Mirapakay’ and now they are joining hands for an official remake which talks about income tax officials and how their honesty is tested and twisted.
