Senior Tollywood actor Nandamuri Balakrishna celebrated 50 Years in the Telugu Film Industry

The Telugu film chamber hosted a grand event to mark Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 50-year milestone in the industry. The ceremony saw a sea of humanity, with prominent figures from Indian cinema, politics, and fans gathering to honour the legendary actor.
Balakrishna expressed gratitude to his fans, fellow actors, and technicians, saying, “I would like to thank all my fans, fellow actors, and those who worked with me from the bottom of my heart. I am grateful to my parents and will keep all of you in my heart for showering so much love upon me.” He paid tributes to his father, noting that he learned discipline, punctuality, and culture from him, as well as from Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
Megastar Chiranjeevi praised Balakrishna, saying, “He is a son worthy of his father... Samara Simha Reddy was my inspiration to do Indra.” Chiranjeevi stunned the audiences when he revealed his desire to collaborate with Balakrishna for a faction film under Boyapati Srinu and YVS Chowdary's direction. “I have a desire to do a faction film with Balayya under Boyapati Srinu and YVS Chowdary. There’s no special occasion at home without Balayya’s presence. We have a great time and send out a message to fans that we share good rapport.”
Director Boyapati Srinu lauded Balakrishna’s energy, stating, “Running the show for 50 years is no mean feat.” Kamal Haasan, in a video message, described Balakrishna as “a pure-hearted man of principles. His only guru is his father, legendary actor NTR. I wish him health and happiness,” he said.
Manchu Mohan Babu highlighted Balakrishna's impressive filmography, noting, Balayya’s movie played for 500 days.
Sandalwood actor Shiva Rajkumar, recalling childhood memories, said, “We used to stay together in Chennai like family, and he’s my younger brother. I am happy to have shared screen space with him.”
Daggubati Venkatesh praised Balakrishna’s achievements, saying, “Hailing from an illustrious family, Balayya Babu has earned a special place in people’d hearts and inspired aspiring actors.”
The event celebrated Balakrishna’s enduring legacy, with colleagues and friends honouring his contributions to Telugu cinema. As Chiranjeevi aptly put it, “This occasion is not just a celebratory moment for Balayya alone, but for the entire film fraternity.”
