Telangana: State Allows Ticket Price Hike for Game Changer

Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Wednesday allowed the producers of upcoming film Game Changer to increase movie ticket price.

The decision comes in contrast to the government’s announcement to disallow high priced movie tickets after a woman died in a stampede at Sandhya theatre during the special show of Pushpa 2 on December 4.

According to a GO issued on Wednesday, the government allowed the movie producer to have six shows in a day, starting from 4 am on January 10 with an increase of Rs.100 per ticket in single screen theatres and an increase of Rs.150 in multiplex. From January, the movie will be exhibited in 5 shows with a Rs.100 increase in ticket prices at multiplex theatres.
