Fast Track Court to Try Kannada Actor Darshan in Renuka Swamy Murder Case

Bengaluru: Police have filed charge sheet in Renuka Swamy murder case against actor Darshan Tugudeepa and 16 others to 24th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM), Bengaluru while a decision on setting-up of a fast track court to try the actor and his accomplices will be decided by the Court, said Minister of Home Dr G. Parameshwar.
“A thinking has been going on to set-up a fast track court for expeditiously trial completion,” said the Minister. He told reporters in Bengaluru police have filed the charge sheeted and submitted evidences gathered by them to the Court in connection with the murder of Renuka Swamy, a resident of Chitradurga, who is alleged to have murdered by the actor together with his associates including his girlfriend Pavitha Gowda. It is said the actor and his associates thrashed Renuka Swamy leading to his death over reported lewd messages to Pavithra Gowda.
The alleged murder is said to have taken place on June 8 when the body of the deceased was discovered amongst a pile of garbage under Kamakshipalya police of Bengaluru. The actor was arrested on June 10 and he and his associates have been remanded to judicial custody.
The actor is currently lodged in Ballari Central Prison after he was shifted from Parappana Agrahara Prison of Bengaluru city. The actor was caught on camera with a cigarette and a mug chatting with his friends inside the Prison garden. One of his friends seen with Darshan was Wilson Garden Naga, a rowdy sheeter.
