Mumbai: It’s the season to be jolly and host amazing house parties! If you plan to please and entertain your guests then you need to give some serious thought to the drinks you plan to serve.
Cocktails are trendy and many new cocktails are replacing the classics. There is no doubt that you might be a cocktail connoisseur and have your own all time favourites. However, there might be drinks that you haven’t tried yet and it’s the perfect time of the year to make a stab at.
Vodka and rum, have become popular in the cocktail world. Many cocktails are punched up with infusions and have managed to tickle people’s drinking buds. It’s common to see these drinks being infused with thyme, basil and sage.
Every person has their own cocktail preference- some like it smooth and mixed with juices, while some like it spiced up. One has the freedom to explore and experiment with alcohol and create their own tiki recipes.

- Cloud Burst
Ingredients:
- 50 ml Absolut Vodka
- 5 ml perppermint
- 5 ml paan liqueur
- 2 pieces of cardamoms
- 60 ml sweet and sour (equal parts of water, sugar and lemon)
- 1 Paan leaf
Method: Take a old fashioned glass, use cardamoms for flavour that would be strained before pouring the drinks. In another glass mix all the ingredients mentioned together. Pour the liquor in the cardamom glass, garnish it with sweet and sour. Top it up with paan leaf and lots of ice.

We have used many herbs, fruits, veggies and spices that have been organized from Goa for our cocktails. Giving variety of cocktails is a good way to engage with more public and understand their taste too, " Eluther Gomes, mixologist of The Daily Bar and Kitchen, Mumbai.
- Walking Dead
Ingredient:
- 50 ml Bacardi rum Banana
- 5 ml Bubble gum flavoured alcohol
- 60 ml orange juice
- 60 ml sweet and sour
Method: Shake well and pour in an old fashioned glass with an orange slice as garnish. Spray sambuca britters over it.
- Victoria Secret
Ingredient:
- 60 ml Absolut Vodka
- 15 ml pineapple juice
- 15 ml orange juice
- 4-6 lemon grass
- 3-5 curry leaves
- 60 ml ginger ale
- 30 ml sweet and sour
Method: Add all the ingredients and shake well. Strain curry leaves after crushing for flavour and pour in a tall glass with an orange slice.
