It’s going to be revelry for the men and their mean machines, as bikers from Bengaluru head to the sandy beaches in Goa for the India Bike Week on January 17 and 18. There’s a big entourage of smashing bikers making headway from the city. The Biking fever is back with a bang in its second edition with bikes, music and entertainment.

Abhishek Sundaram, a 35-year-old architect who runs Symmetrics is looking forward to his ride from the city on January 15.

“I’m part of the Bangalore Pandhis, which is a cruiser club for all bikers in the city. Unlike the HOG club which has only Harley owners, we have other bikes. We are a group of 40 bikers, who will ride to Goa and start partying from the first day itself. Since there’s not too much riding in Goa we will do a lot of pub hopping. We also plan to take a longer route back to the city, so we get to ride more.”

Looks like the Woodstock of biking festivals is going to be two mayhem-filled days in Vagatore, as some of the most incredible bikes like Radial Chopper.

22-year-old Ethihas Rao from the city who runs the Bengaluru P220 Owner’s Masked Bandits Club that has about 100 members says, “We do two rides and meet ups in a month and are looking forward to the Bike Week in Goa next week.” Another excited 25-year-old bike enthusiast and mechanical engineer, Nitesh Nair who has been riding since he turned 18, reveals, “I’m part of the CBR 250 R riders club that has 700 members. I’m looking forward to hearing everyone’s biking experiences and learn the tricks of the trade, coupled with three music stages, 20 bands, DJs and parties.”

Martin da Costa, CEO, 70 EMG who is going to take biking to another level, says, “Last year six and half thousand bikers made it to Goa and this time its bigger.” Bikers are excited about the special brotherhood zone, where bikers from hundreds of Indian Motorbike Clubs hang out. Besides there will also be a lot of incredible women riders. Bikers can look out for Ladakh Tent, workshops, bars, Biker BBQ’s and the chance to interact with world famous biking legends Ted Simon, Nick Sanders and other heroes of world biking.
