Kharge slams Modi, BJP tactics in Jharkhand campaign
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday in Jharkhand delivered a strong critique of the BJP-led central government. At a rally in Jamtara, he accused the Centre of using investigative agencies such as the ED, CBI, and Income Tax department against those supporting Congress and its allies.
Kharge also made a pointed remark about the BJP's fear-driven politics, saying, "They say 'bant gaye toh kat gaye' (if divided, we will be wiped out), but I say 'dar gaye toh mar gaye' (if you are afraid, you die)." He stressed that the BJP's tactics were not just divisive but also aimed at suppressing dissent.
In a lighter but revealing moment, Kharge shared his experience of being denied entry to a reserved airport lounge, despite holding the rank of Cabinet Minister, claiming he was told it was "for the PM only." He sarcastically questioned whether even basic facilities, like toilets, should be reserved for the Prime Minister.
Kharge also criticized the government's approach to national security, accusing Prime Minister Modi of using fear tactics to distract from the real issues. "The nation's security lies with you, Prime Minister. Instead of addressing infiltration, you are scaring the people," he said, highlighting the government's failure to tackle core issues affecting the nation
